Our Rio Grande I Movie
Rio Grande
The Rio Grande is a river that flows through New Mexico. It carries fish in it and is the home to many birds and animals. We will talk about the species that are no longer in the river and sill in the river, we will do the same with the birds and the animals.
Where do we get Drinking Water from
We get some drinking water from the Rio Grande and some from the aquifer. Recently we stopped using Rio Grande water because the water level has gotten low. John Stomp, chief operating officer for the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority, gave the word to stop diverting river water shortly before 4 p.m. The utility also had to shut down last Friday when river levels dropped.
