Welcome to the Nunez water savers group 15
We are going to talk about the water cycle, water history, water and water pollution.
The Water Cycle
The water cycle has is made up of Evaporation, Condensation, Precipitation, Runoff (Collection). A water shed is just like Runoff. Say it rains in the mountins all the water gathers to 1 point like the ocean or lakes.
Evaporation is water turning into water vapor and floating into the clouds. Sometimes you can see the vapor but most of the time you can't. Happens it with ground water. When you see water vapor it had to rain of snow.
Condensation is when water vapor turns into clouds. It condenses and comes together to form a cloud.
Precipitation is when it rains, sleets, snows or hails.
Run Off or Collection
run off (or collection) is when the melted sleet, snow, or hail goes back to the ocean or to a lake.
How much fresh water is on earth?
There is 3% of fresh water on earth. Including Ground water and the polar ice caps. There is a lot of water on earth that is not fresh water oceans and seas.
A water shed is were there is a lot of high ground and in the middle is very low ground. The rivers that are on high ground go to the middle bringing pollution with it but also causing more water to be in the pool of water.
How much water is used by a house and a business
A home owner uses more water than a office building. Someone that lives in a house uses a lot more water than an business.
